Slow? Yes. Unstoppable? ALSO YES.


Congrats to our client Alison on her 34 minute PR! We love her outlook. She writes,

While 50,000+ runners (including many MTAers!) were in Chicago last weekend, I chose to shuffle my way through the Valley Harvest Marathon in Nova Scotia—just 226 full marathoners total, among a field of 3,000, who were running distances ranging from 5k to 50k.

The crisp fall weather and gorgeous route through apple orchards and farmland, not to mention the friendly, low-key vibe made it a joy.

I’m proud of how consistently I followed Coach Abby’s plan, and I felt that this time (my second marathon) I nailed my fueling and hydration strategy. Game changer—I felt strong from start to finish and honestly think I still had more speed in the tank!

I lost a few minutes in line for the ONE porta-potty that I could see on course (the real marathon villain 😂) but still…

👉 Improved my finishing time by 34 MINUTES! 🎉 (5:19 vs 5:53 for marathon #1 in 2023)
👉 Finished feeling amazing instead of destroyed
👉 Already excited for what’s next!
