We were working hard to announce the launch of MTA Member today, but instead had an early arrival of our own.
At 11:37 pm on Oct 1st we were pleased to welcome our new son, Liam, into the world. He is a healthy little guy at 7 pounds, 9 ounces and 20 inches long.
We arrived at the hospital a whopping seven minutes before he was born. He certainly was in a hurry to get here. Does that mean he’ll be a future runner?
During my pregnancy I was able to stay active (even running on the elliptical the day he was born) and I know that my level of fitness made for an easier delivery. Having a strong and healthy body will benefit you no matter what challenge life may throw at you. Developing the mental and physical discipline to become a long distance runner will profit you in countless ways.
You might want to know which is easier, running a marathon or the “marathon” of pregnancy and childbirth. They have many similarities. Neither experience should be crammed for. Having a solid fitness base and a positive mental attitude is the key to being prepared for the ups and downs that go into each experience.
Being equipped with the right information is essential to prevent complications and anxiety. That is why I’ve developed the courses in MTA Member. I want you to be equipped and empowered to have a great marathon experience. You don’t have to face the training challenge alone. We want to walk you through it step by step.
So, be looking for the arrival of MTA Member this Friday.

Amazing! I was so impressed that you continued to run and work on your web site all the way till the end! We have two little ones so I know how difficult that can be. I have an idea for your next podcast…. the essentials behind finding a great running stroller. God Bless and congrats!
Congratulations on the baby! He looks adorable. Julie and Giorgio Manzin (UK)

Fantastic! So nice when there’s good news! Congrats to all your family
Congratulations! I started listening to your podcast about a month ago when I signed up for the Paris Marathon on 10 April 2010. I have been running for 4 months and it mght be too soon, but your advice is helping me.
Best wishes to the family!
Congratulations on the newest member of your family, Liam. I know he will bring you more joy and happiness. May your happiness be multiplied exponentially through God’s blessings in your lives!!
Congratulations for the new baby, Liam. The first months for the baby are difficult. I hope you can manage between Liam, running and podcast. I wish you pleasent live.
Greetings from Arlington, Virginia. I enjoy your show–it has been filled with helpful information and is great motivation. I ran the Marine Corp Marathon in 2007 and the Outer Banks Half last year. I am seriously giving some thought to running the Shamrock Marathon, instead of the Half, in Virginia Beach in February for my 65th birthday. Whatever I do, I will take MTA along with me on my training runs. The very best to you, Liam, Trevor and the boys. I hope you get some rest and get back on the road soon.
Congratulations on the new baby. Thanks for spending the time with us when you can, but we understand you have a need for sleep at the moment.
Thank you everyone for your kind congratulations. It’s wonderful to have such a supportive and encouraging community! I look forward to continued interaction and future podcasts. All the best to each of you as you pursue your running goals.
