Delorean Ostrom is a chef from Georgia who owns a meal prep company and food truck. He is married to Mandy (a physician’s assistant) and they have two little girls

In 2019 Mandy was diagnosed stage 3 Cholangiocarcinoma -a very rare bile duct cancer of the liver and had to have chemo while pregnant.

He’s been working with MTA Coach Henry to train smart for back-to-back races. Here’s what Henry had to say,

Delorean doesn’t make excuses, he finds a way to be consistent. And that is exactly why he has three marathon PRs in three months, including a nearly 8-minute one just six days after his previous marathon. He has such a bright future in running. He’s only just getting started!

That episode really hit home… I also had to hear my wife was pregnant minutes before cancer surgery. Unfortunately, the outcome in our case was not successful, as the couple in your episode. 20 years later and I still felt is as it just happened, it still hurts … I wish I was not in a running hiatus back then. It would have helped me deal better with the stress.
