10 Marathons Later: Yes you can do hard things!

Congrats to our client Diana who collected her 6th star at the Tokyo Marathon and ran a BQ of 3:45:24!! She writes,

“Coach Henry got me to the start and the finish of Tokyo! My 6th star. I was hoping for a bit faster time but honestly am super excited with 3:45:24. I am 59 years old and the wear and tear of getting there took its toll. Plus it was a little warm on Sunday and that last out and back was rough!

Coach Henry has a client in Tokyo that he was coaching for Tokyo and he connected the two of us. Ian and me and my husband meet for coffee the Saturday before the marathon. Super cool to meet Ian! He has been living in Tokyo for 20 years. Great to meet another client of Coach Henry. We chatted about everything including Coach Henry’s passion for pushups!

Coach Henry designed an awesome block for Tokyo. I loved his energy and positive attitude! He is getting me to Boston in April and I am super excited to do my 3rd Boston.

Tokyo was my 10th marathon. I discovered MTA right before COVID. I was never a runner until March of 2020. I signed up with Coach Jen (I was 54 years old) and she coached me for my 1st and 2nd marathons – I was hooked! Tokyo was my 8th BQ and yes you can do hard things. I am in it for the long run now and plan on running for a long time.

I love MTA. The community is genuine and full of real people loving the adventure. Thank you Coach Abby for all you do!”

Take care,

Diana Callahan
