Congrats to our client Sarah E., pictured above with her daughter Emily, who just completed McDonald Forest 50K! She writes,
On Saturday May 3rd the McDonald Forest 50K run was held for the 29th year. It is held in Oregon State University’s McDonald Forest and Starker Forest. The course is a loop course and has approximately 6800 feet of elevation gain, and is approximately 20.4 miles of trails and 10.9 miles of logging roads.
This was my 8th time running this ultra but the first time with my daughter Emily. It was a beautiful, sunny day with dry trails. I have never before trained with a coach and asked MTA Coach Abby for help. With Coach Abby’s training plan I came in 1 hour faster than 2 years ago! Emily, my daughter, ran ahead around mile 23 and I followed her in with my new trail friend Frank.
What a fun day! I came in second in my age group with a time of 8:52:48. Abby prepared me well for the day! Thank you! -Sarah E.
