An incredible experience at my first marathon

Congrats to our client Jason on completing his first marathon in 4:17 at the NYC Marathon! He writes,

It was incredible experience! I felt amazing and felt like I was flying mostly with ease & energy from the crowds up to the Queensboro Bridge.

After that was definitely a grind and my pace fell off but I got it done. For a not-so-easy marathon and my first one I was super stoked with the time I ended with!

I had that glute injury early September and missed about 5-6 weeks of training really only had about two weeks of full training starting Oct 10th. So all things considered I was super pleased with that and I had absolutely zero issues with the injury during the run.

The plan Coach Antonio came up with when the injury happened worked very well. Without the training from MTA & Antonio no way I would have been prepared for that back half. Even though it was a grind and my pace slowed quite a bit, all that training gave me what I needed to bring it home. It was definitely the right move if I still had lingering effects from the injury, no way i would have been able to finish anywhere near the pace i did.

Loved it would definitely love to do NYC again at some point again but probably aim for a different one next fall with a more flat course! What an experience though, absolutely incredible: the crowds, weather, etc. just amazing!
