What Runners are Saying about MTA Coaching

Sub 4 and Boston Qualifier
“I signed up for coaching after hitting the wall hard at mile 20 when running my first marathon in 2019. My goal was to BQ (4:05) and run a marathon under 4 hours. Working with coach Lynn I ran and BQ’d at two races in 2021 and was thrilled to be accepted to run Boston in 2022 . . .

With excellent guidance and the training plan from Lynn I ran 3:44:20 at Boston and felt great doing it. The awesome support of the crowds and perfect weather also contributed to this success. . . .Keep reaching for your goals; it’s a great feeling when you get there!!” -Michelle B.

3:52 Marathon
“I was extremely happy with my first marathon and was able to achieve my time objective! I very much enjoyed training with MTA Coach Kristyn! She prepared an excellent training program and was always so quick to respond to all of my questions.

Her training program was very well adapted to my level and body – I didn’t have any injuries or body pains during the program and felt great on marathon day. I learned more about my running capabilities, my body, the various run types, etc.” -Marie-Eve

3 Marathons, 3 Half Marathons, and a Spartan Beast
“I am having some reflective moments . . . and looking back at it, I really cannot believe what I did in October-November. I am not sure I will ever be able to match the sheer intensity and volume of racing that I did over these last 6 weeks ever again.

I want to cry, I am so happy. I thought I would be hating life and want to quit racing after this. I imagined being burnt out. None of it happened. I feel better than I ever have. I am tired, and sore, but I enjoy that feeling. Thanks, MTA Coach Lynn!”

PR at the Berlin Marathon
Conditions were tough but I still ran a PR of almost 5 minutes 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻! So in the end I am super happy about the race and the result! Just need to find a cooler one for my next attempt of getting closer to that 4 hour mark 😊!

And of course, I need to send huge thanks to MTA Coach Joel who has put up with me for over 3 years now 😉.

Without him I would never be in this place today! -Cecilia

PR in Just 3 Months
I wanted to say thanks for all your help and support training for the Emerald Isle Marathon. My 2:57:23 was a PR by almost 2 minutes and you made the entire training process easy and fun. When I trained for my race last year I felt extremely burned out for almost a month and got sick after the race.

This year you helped me reach a PR in just 3 months (over a month less than last year). I felt great and had plenty of energy throughout training. I could not believe how well everything went. Your advice and detailed running plans made a huge difference for me.” -Zach F.
