About The Runner’s High Challenge

The mountain is a metaphor for rising up, overcoming hard things, and elevating your fitness. A runner’s high is the feeling of euphoria and reduced anxiety that comes from running. We created this challenge to help you run, walk, or hike 100 miles and tap into those happy brain chemicals.

  • Our custom run tracker will keep you eager to log more miles and watch your progress bar grow.
  • Transform into a new avatar every ten miles; and watch as “gurus” appear to share wisdom as you climb the mountain.
  • Reach the top and get a one-of-a-kind finisher’s medal inspired by a famous mountain.
  • The first mountain in the Runner’s High Series is Switzerland’s famous Matterhorn -the most recognizable mountain in the Alps.

Run, walk, or hike an accumulative 100 miles (161 km) and earn the iconic Matterhorn Medal. Some ways to get 100 miles done:

Log a 100 mile week!
Log a 100 mile month.
Log four 25 mile months.
Run ten miles a week for ten weeks.
Do a run streak of at least 1 mile per day for 100 days.

What matters most is that you challenge yourself and go the distance. Signing up with a running partner makes it even more fun!

Warning! The runner’s high is addictive and you might want to keep going longer. This challenge can change your life!

Hi Angie and Trevor, Last Sunday I finished my first marathon distance! I would never ever had been able to do that if it wasn’t for your 100 mile challenge! In October of 2020 I started that challenge after I’d just been run/walking for a month. That challenge and the FB community changed my life. For the race I used your trail marathon training plan and  I loved it!  Thank you guys for changing my life and making me a marathoner! -Rochelle

Frequently Asked Questions

Can we order as a group?

  • Yes, this will save on shipping. One person will need to place the order for the whole group. Just select the quantity you want at checkout and the medals will be sent to the same address. Then forward the emails you get from us to the other runners so they will have all the appropriate links and instructions. No need to officially “register” each person separately at check out.

Do you ship outside the USA?

  • Yes! We ship anywhere in the world. The cost of shipping outside the USA is unfortunately not as cheap (we don’t make any money from the shipping). Many runners are joining with their running partners to share the cost of shipping. It costs about the same amount to send 1 medal as it does 2-4 medals in the same package. Just select the quantity you want at checkout and the medals will be sent to the same address. Then forward the emails you get from us to the other runners so they will have all the appropriate links and instructions. No need to officially “register” each person separately at check out. Please be aware that due to Covid the international shipping is extremely slow right now!

How do I complete the 100 miles?

  • We are trying to keep it simple. Run or walk a total of 100 miles, take as many days as you need. You can keep track of your miles (you are free to use the online run tracker we created but not required to). The medal will be shipped out even if you don’t track your miles. We use the honor system.

How do I report my runs?

  • You may use the super fun Online Run Tracker we created or your preferred tracker (Garmin, Strava, MapMyRun, Nike, etc.). *Note: reporting your miles is not mandatory since we use the honor system.

Cancellation/Refunds

  • Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund for this event. Since we immediately spend the money on purchasing the medal and shipping, all sales are final.

When will my medal arrive?

  • The medal(s) will be shipped out from a USA based facility in 5-6 weeks. It could take longer to reach you depending on where you live. Please be aware that if you live outside the USA it could take an extra time to reach you. International shipping is slow right now. If you live in the UK or EU your package will be delayed by your government until they collect VAT from you.

Is there a special Facebook group for this event?

  • The Runner’s High Challenge uses the “Social Distancing” Run Facebook group which has over 16,000 members and a very active community. It’s a great place to share photos, results, and see what other runners are up to.
